Below is a feature-by-feature breakdown of what the app actually offers — UPI payments, the FamX card, rewards, and the day-to-day tools around managing your spending.

FamApp features overview showing UPI payments, FamX card, QR payments, bill payments and rewards

UPI payments

You can link a bank account and use the app to send or receive money over UPI. That includes paying other UPI apps like Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay and BHIM, or scanning a merchant's QR code to pay in person — at a shop, restaurant or petrol pump, for example.

Numberless prepaid card

The physical card doesn't print the full card number on its face — that detail lives inside the app instead. The idea is that if the card is lost, whoever finds it can't read off the number directly. You can pause or block the card from the app in seconds.

Tap-to-pay (NFC)

The card runs on the Visa network and supports contactless tap-to-pay at terminals that accept it, as well as being usable for online checkouts where a card is required.

FamCoins, cashback and rewards

Spending through the app earns FamCoins, a points-based reward currency that can go toward cashback, discounts, or gift cards for select gaming and shopping platforms. The exact rate and offers change over time, so check the app itself for the current terms.

Bill payments and recharges

Mobile recharges and utility bills, such as electricity, can be paid directly from within the app rather than opening a separate biller or wallet app.

Card customization

The app offers some control over how your FamX card looks and is set up, on top of the core numberless-card security model.

Spending visibility and controls

Every transaction is logged in the app in real time, which makes it easier to keep track of spending than reconciling paper receipts or bank SMS alerts after the fact.

Built for younger users

The product was originally designed around students and teenagers who don't yet have a standard bank account, so the onboarding and identity checks are shaped around that use case.

Splitting payments with friends

Because UPI transfers are built in, sending someone your share of a bill or splitting a group expense doesn't require a separate app.

A note on accuracy

Feature sets on any app can change with updates. If something here looks out of date compared with what you see in the app, the in-app description and official store listing are the most current source.
